I remember going to McDonald’s with my mom the morning before I went to my first day of school. The first day of ‘real’ school that is. Pre-school was for little kids and I had now graduated to kindergarten with the other big kids.

My mom ordered breakfast for us complete with two cartons of milk. We sat outside at a concrete table where we could smell the morning dew and listen to the birds sing.

She carefully opened her carton of milk, explaining to me that this is what will be in my lunches at school and that I should know how to open them.

You pull apart the cardboard at the top of one side.
Then pinch the cardboard that you just peeled apart and it opens so you can drink it.
Now you try.

I think back to this memory with such fondness. My mom always encouraged me to learn and try new things from opening milk cartons all the way to pursuing my dreams in the photographic industry.

I am happy to officially announce that I have opened a brick and mortar boudoir & glamour photo studio and that I am now open for business! The building has so much character, I don’t even know what to do with myself. It was built in the 1920’s and has the most gorgeous natural window light a girl could ask for. Here are photos of the space before we moved anything in!
